Parent/Caregiver - Child Class
(prenatal - 24 months)
A Session-Based Montessori Program
REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR UPCOMING JANUARY-FEBRUARY SESSION!
We are excited to again be hosting a Parent/Caregiver - Child Class at our beautiful SW Garden Home location beginning in January, 2025. This unique session offers exploratory classes every Sunday morning and one-on-one parent/caregiver classes each Wednesday evening. You and your child will get the opportunity to engage and interact alongside a trained Montessori teacher, in one of our infant & toddler classroom environments. Furniture and materials are specifically chosen throughout the session, to aid in your child’s motor, language and cognitive development. Our goal is to provide a cohort-based learning environment that will deepen your understanding of Montessori and its application in the home. Our hope is that each attending adult will gain resources, create a dedicated time each week to observe and reflect on your evolving parenting practice and walk away with some new parenting friends to add to your village!
Parent(s)/Caregiver(s) and child(ren) attend together each Sunday morning for approximately an hour, to learn more about the power of observation and how this technique can inform and guide interactions with your growing child. Little ones will be offered the opportunity to move freely within our environment while parents/caregivers observe, engage, question and discuss. Each class offers outside time (weather dependent), individual classroom exploration, as well as toilet learning/diapering assistance.
Each Wednesday evening parents/caregivers will gather together for about 1.5-2 hours in an adult only session to speak more in-depth about various topics such as sleeping, baby led weaning, toilet learning, maximum effort, the home environment, observation and much more! Fill out this APPLICATION and send directly to stacey@childsview.org.
